When the human soul is wounded our head and our heart don’t know how to be okay. A wounded spirit doesn’t remember what it feels like to be happy and we wonder if we’ll ever be happy again. Everything becomes a fog as we just exist, walking through life feeling like a spectator instead of a participant. And when our spirit has been shattered, we stop feeling anything at all.

 

If this is you, I have wonderful news. Your spirit was designed to heal and as your spirit heals, your heart and head will too. It may feel impossible at the moment, but you will feel joy again and hope for the future. You’re not crazy, and you're not weird. People break their bones and they can also break their spirit. Both need to be properly cared for and both heal. We’ll take it one step at a time.
